Our journey began by selling empty cargo containers to rental companies, construction companies, farmers, and ranchers. However, it wasn’t long before our customers started asking for modifications to better suit their specific requirements. From doors, locks, vents, and lights, we quickly adapted to fulfill these requests, leading us to expand our offerings and capabilities.
Today, we build a range of specialized products, including hunting camps, office spaces, firework stands, and more – now found across Texas and beyond!

“Brian and I wanted to build a home for our growing family on our property in Montgomery, TX. We had discussed modernizing the family’s old dog trot house that sat on the property, but we could not come up with a way to make our dream a reality. Then, a friend suggested Square 1 Containers. Working with Ernie and Square 1 was the best decision we could have made! We ended up using 7 containers – creating one primary bedroom, 3 separate bedrooms, and a bunk room. We also have a living and kitchen space separate from the bedrooms and a garage. Square 1 was able to install sliding doors, large windows, and engineered hardwood floors, as well as a deck connecting all the containers. Ernie designed the cut-outs of the windows and doors to add sliding doors and locking windows for extra security. We now have the modern dog trot house we dreamed of! Working with Ernie and his team was a truly wonderful experience!”
